As a reporter and storyteller, I love using interviews to uncover the personalities, experiences and stories that make sports so compelling. I’ve had the opportunity to interview players, coaches, club executives and other personalities, creating both short-form digital pieces and longer-form features for the Charleston Battery.
My approach to interviewing is centered around preparation, curiosity and letting the person’s personality come through. Whether I’m telling a player’s personal story, exploring a coach’s perspective or getting a behind-the-scenes look at the club, I aim to create conversations that feel authentic while giving audiences a reason to connect with the people behind the game.
